I
think what happened this date 40 years ago should be remembered for all of us. Especially
young people like us. To remember all the pain, all the death and all the
damaged caused is the only way we make sure it won’t happened again. Of course
is ok to complain about human rights violated 40 years ago, especially if the
ones who did it haven’t got their punishment yet. Anyone who violates human
rights should be punished; it doesn’t matter if it was one or forty years ago.
I
don’t think the state of Chile has deal with the people responsible for these
crimes or the victims at all. The victims in particular have been left aside by
the state that hasn’t given them answers or any kind of retribution at all.
I
don’t really know how I feel about people building barricades on the road,
burning tyres or being violent to police forces. On one side I don’t believe
this is the way but in our country this seems to be the only way of pressure to
get reactions from the politicians and make real changes that actually
beneficed all of us. It is in fact outdated but so it is the politics and constitution in Chile
we should always remember, such a sad day for Chile. I couldn't bring myself to enjoy a friday like that.
